Born in Oconee County, GA, he was a son of the late Lawton Thomas and Pearl Wall Lord and was preceded in death by siblings, Bernice Lord, Bob Lord, Vivian Marshall and Bill Lord and his son-in-law, Haynes Townsend. Henry was retired from the United States Air Force following 22 years of service.
