A deadly admech combo. With the new admech codex up for pre-order, and loads of their rules out in the open, I was struck by how cheap and effective the Skitarii Rangers are now. They went down from 9 points to 8, and their weapons went from 30" rapid fire 1 S4 AP0 D1 to 30" Heavy 2 S4 AP-1 D1. They also went from a max unit size of 10 to 20.

Hey there, I’m looking for models from AdMech and Mechanicum for 3D printing. I’d like them to be very good quality, doesn’t matter if paid or free. Preferably models of the bigger stuff like the Skorpius, Archaeopter etc. I know of the drill and kataphrons. Could you recommend some other stuff?AdMech was still not overpowered at the end of 9th, stats were still under the 44%-ish winrate range... Outside of the 1st 6 months, AM has consistently been one of the worst factions - but at least by the end things weren't unwinnable at all and there were amazing ways to express yourself in army construction. Comparing guard to an admech force is a bit like comparing a ww1 army to a modern, well equipped fighting force- the ww1 army might have more soldiers but the modern army has way better communications and a huge technological advantage. An admech force's main weakness is its tech priest commanders.

The AdMech guy passed away, so our rules are just kinda slapped together in a soulless-feeling way. I get the impression that they consider AdMech 'done' as far as expanding the army's style without having anything of substance. I do have to give props to the model designers though. I really think AdMech is unmatched in aesthetics.

The thing with AdMech is our stat sheets don't tell the whole story. We have a series of overlapping buffs that can cause units to go into overdrive. Rangers guns, for example, are only 3+ bs, 30" range, heavy 2, s4, ap1, d1. If a manipilius buffs them, they get +6" range and an extra ap.
