I like the whole sci-fi aspect of implants and cybernetic bodyparts, and i think Stellaris could do more with this tbh and not just have it as a stepping stone to Synthetic ascension. When playing as Materialists i often just stay at Flesh is Weak and dont pick synthetics. Partly due to RP, partly due to me not liking to build pops.
