I follow u/VKB-Sim and avoid the hype. The affordable pairing for the NXT appears to be next up. I’ll have to decide whether waiting for the TECS is in order, but VKB has attempted to tamp down expectation to no avail. They’ll release it when they are ready. The X52 throttle is fine for now.
Jul 4, 2022 · FYI, the VKB GF III with the 200mm extension and the MonsterTech desk drop mount is completely awesome. There is no way to describe the difference between a standard joystick and an extended length joystick other than it is the best experience I have ever had in sim with a joystick. Expensive, yes, but glad I pulled the trigger and did it.

I do own VKB stick, but have to admit when the TECS renders first came out as a slider I was slightly surprised as I've only ever associated rotary 'quadrant' throttles with higher quality and my interpretation of slide mechanisms was that they were less nicely actuated (based on early past experience with some of the plasticky stuff).
