Hi there, I tried to change the cVar and dump the value as well. It returns to 40 yards but the nameplate is still around 60 yards. I have only recently returned to the game. Is this new? Thanks! Edit: after more digging, it does seem to be the case that blizzard has fixed the distance to 60 yards. This topic provided a way to alleviate this issue.

1 I've noticed a very annoying problem. Enemy nameplate rendering are a fixed distance. The issue for me is they are rendering too far out. To actually change this in Plater, go to General Options --> Interface options. Tick "Use Blizzard's Nameplate Alpha" and then you can edit "Occluded Alpha Multiplier". Value 0.00 means LoS nameplates are completely hidden. Hope this helps.
