The ultra bios is 270w vs 264w so not that big of a difference. I found out that updating the firmware in precision X1 was what caused the fan issues on the FTW3 bios. I know the FTW3 model can go up to 450W and the XC3 model, as far as I know only to 350W (but it has only 2 connectors and is smaller, something I like). Do you think that it is worth the FTW3 in this case? Would I be able to reach 2000Mhz with the XC3 model only with a TDP of 350W and the waterblock? What would be your choice guys? A XC3 card running 79C may be hot, but its not losing anything vs the FTW3 version running at 71C. I would not worry too much about the XC3 version running hot. So I was recently lucky enough to find a 3080ti xc3 ultra for MSRP, however I have begun reading online that the FTW3 ultra might have better cooling and clock speeds with more room for overclocking.

The main difference on the 3080ti specifically is a 3-slot cooler on the FTW vs the XC3's 2-slot, as well as an additional PCIe 8-pin for extra power delivery over the XC3.
