I have the same issue. Just moved and upgraded old equipment with what I thought was a new DVR and 4 other non DVR. When hooking up last non DVR, got the XRE message. 3 trips to chat support re-established all 5 tv's for a short period, then one tv with a non DVR would revert to the XRE message. Additionally, we frequently find that channels become temporarily unavailable (XRE-03059 error). We're paying an awful lot for pretty much no cable service.For that: Unplug the TV, STB (Cable Box) and the internet modem from the socket. Equipment is almost brand new, and the issue started before the switch over to this new equipment. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when the error is occurring. It's caused by a bad cable signal, replace any barrel connectors, (probably in wall plates), replace cable wires from wall to devices, verify all connections snug, and if that doesn't work call Cox and request a technician.
