The 2 weeks is because that is the checkbox - (keep me signed in for 2 weeks). This expires, then entering the password again won't work. You have to go through reset hassle. "clearing cache" etc has NOTHING to do with it. I think it might be an issue with having the yahoo mail app on my phone, and accessing via yahoo on the computer.
