While the whole range of implantation is 6-12 DPO, the most common seems to not be until 8-10 DPO. 118 women (84 percent) had implantation on day 8, 9, or 10. So at 8 DPO, it's entirely possible you haven't even implanted yet. And it may still be another day or two after implantation that you could get a positive test.In my case it was just progesterone, but 6 DPO is getting closer to implantation (and some women do implant that early) so it's definitely possible!
