If we go by the DK sim, on a 90 second fight DW unholy in phase 1 bis puts out about 9.3-9.4k dps with perfect play and with the boss never moving out of death and decay. 2-hand unholy is at about 8.9-9k with no caveats, their dps has normal melee mobility. However, in traditional unholy openers, Gargoyle is summoned before weapon procs to benefit from those buffs. MCP is too low level to have wotlk enchants or Fallen Crusader and incurs a large DPS loss trying to proc other items like Thundering Skyflare meta gem. As it stands, it is not a dps gain to use MCP in an unholy DK opener.
