The visemes need specific names to work: if using CATS in blender to import/export an mmd model one can auto translate the visemes with the "old translations" option ticked. Those are the names that mmd worlds usually use. (If that doesn't work or your model isn't mmd I can send a list with names I know of) MathewMii. Windows Mixed Reality.

I had this issue as well and it seems to be something with how the VRCSDK overrides animations. If you replace walking/idle animations, the facial visemes won't work sometimes. I've submitted a ticket to VRChat asking for more information on this issue. If you haven't replaced any walking/idle animations I'm not sure what else the problem may be.
