On Saturdays, there are also two Freedom Fast Cat ferries to Great Keppel Island. The first leaves at 07.30, returning at 08.00.
Cost too much. It cost us $48 to ride the ferry from Fort Morgan to Dauphin Island. We thought it was $18 per car and it was. We did not realize there was additional charge per person. You had to get out of the car and there was no place to sit or cool off. They have one really awesome souvenir shop right as you come onto the island where you can get super soft t-shirts for only $10 and they are amazing. They alternate pick ups between the small (fits approx. 18 cars) and large ferries. You can also get on without a car. They recommend getting there 30 minutes prior to departure and they aren’t joking since space is limited! Admission is $15 per vehicles (under 22 ft) and $6 per person for ages 4+.
