Exit through there and you will get a quick fast travel location for Valerica's Study in the world map. I've checked everywhere with the detect dead spell. Been to castle volkihar, Fort DG, dimhollow crypt, darkfall cave/passage, forgotten vale, ancestor glade, and everywhere I can recall since I lost her. I don't even want her as a follower!
