I would recommend taking care of them but if you really don't want to waste energy on plants in the future. You can plant them come back 2-3 days later and they will be advanced to next stage (if you hoped on a little to early they should still advance but will need to be taken care of) then ignore them for 3-4 days and they should be ready to harvest.
