Who ever installed the opti the first time missed dowel location not once, but twice. If you look at the picture you can see that the dowel was rubbing on the hub itself ...

G. · #2 · Feb 4, 2009. The major problem with MSD opti's is the same thing that is wrong with some OEM optis and thats the rotor screws decide they want to back off and the rotor becomes loose. Take the next one apart and make 100% sure that the rotor bolts have some loctite on them. MSD optis are kinda hit and miss.

The car was well maintained and overall in great shape but it undoubtedly has the leaking water pump that is slowly dripping down onto the distributor and plug wires.
