As to heat? The V2 is more displacement, and inside of fairings, and the pistons are closer to the seat; so I’m 90% sure it will run warmer on your butt and legs. I do want to work with my local Ducati dealership to make a video covering maintenance service costs and parts ordering, as I already need a few small things I broke at Moab by crashing. As for major reliability/running costs, I think these modern bikes are a lot more reliable and service intervals are lessened, as they are part of Audi/VAG Group.

The Scrambler 800 is a great first bike. Just ride within your limits, e.g. you probably don’t need 5th or 6th gear right away. It’s not as easy and friendly to ride as say a 400-500cc bike, but it is still easy, friendly, more substantial, respectable, and fun. Just going to throw it out there. The 796 is a decent bike, but way over priced. But, if you're on a budget and need a new Ducati, this one makes the most sense. The 1100 is a great bike, but again, the pricing feels like a kick in the balls. The Street Triple R is a great bike that's fairly priced, and has seen some incremental improvements over the last few years. As shown by Ducati's own Gran turismo V4 engine. So why are they still using such a overly complex design the requires more labor intensive maintenance? And the Ducati's do seem to require more work to gain access to Normal Maintrnace items like the Air filter, Spark plug, Oil/Filter, and in Ducati's case the Belt. Ducati V21L 2024 (MotoE): Reported price under 12,500€. I seriously doubt it will cost only 12.5k…. Just the fork is higher than that alone. Yeah, an Energica Ego costs around 30k so I imagine Ducati will cost around that same price of not more.
