Beyond that, we have 4-5 Origins related to special "planet classes." Life-Seeded is the most obvious one: you start on a max size (25) gaia world, which usually has a pretty balanced district setup if memory serves. The issue is, this origin also gives you a Gaia world preference, which makes non-gaia worlds undesirable for your main species.Jun 17, 2019 · Restoring Ecumenopolis. On the relic world, you have to clear all blockers and fill all district slots with city and/or industrial districts. Then, you can enact the "restore ecumenopolis" decision under the planet's decisions. It costs 20,000 minerals, and I think some influence as well. It should be in the desicions menu; but doesn't appear for machine empires. Best way to utilize relic worlds before turning them into ecumenopolises is either full research or mining world with rare resources. There Is also a good energy world with C.A.R.E. dig site. Depends on what you need. If you’re unsure, just build a bit of both in balance. Can’t go wrong with more alloys or more research. 🤷‍♂️.For organics there is a decision that allows the upgrade but I never saw it on this run-through with the multiple relic worlds I have. None of the unique resources survive, but you do get a new one along the lines of "Repaired Relic World" which gives a +15 bonus to all research.
