For the last 12 years I have been compiling a survey on the Model 56 and 57 .22 rimfire rifles. The M70 fwt was made in 257 and also 7X57 for a couple of years when it was reintroduced in the early 80's. I have one in the Bob. Personal preference. My opinion is that the C was the peak of the workmanship for the Model 52. My observation (based on use of the 52C for competition) was that the consistency of the workmanship seemed very good.
