He received the B.S. degree in electronics engineering from Tamkang University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1986, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from California State University at Fullerton, Fullerton, CA, USA, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree from the National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, in 2014.
