Fiber is probably the most reliable service I’ve had from AT&T. Highly encourage it. There is no price hikes anymore (unless your available for 100mb or below), there’s also no contracts. It’s straight forward pricing. Once you sign into a price, that’s your price moving forward. Best you will see is around 250-500mb in speeds. Both these have a backbone 5ghz band dedicated for bandwidth which is what keeps the speeds up. All Fiber connections go into your modem and then a Cat 6 to your Router or Mesh system. You unfortunately can’t buy a third party ONT and use it on their system, most fiber ISPs have this restriction.You then plug the cable from a port on the bgw to the internet port on your router.
