So I have a 1301 and an M4. I have had the M4 for about 4 years. The 1301 for about a month. I would take the 1301. The recoil is considerably less. It has the fastest cyclic rate. Also the controls, are in my opinion exactly where they should be and the trigger pull is way better. I really like the it over my M4
