Jul 9, 2020 · Don’t discount the 6 Norma Dasher. I have two. Both run 105/107s at 3000 with ease. I have burned down 2 x 6BRs, I have 2 x 6 Dasher N and am working on a new 6XC. No question the 6 BR is the easiest to load, basically plug and play with VarGet and RL15. 6 Dasher N right on it’s tail and also has no fire forming required.

My 2 shooting partners have been shooting them for a couple years and they always seem to cheat the wind a little better. I run the 105s at 2930 and the 95s at 3120. U can also feel the recoil difference between the two. 31.8g of varget and 32.6g of 8208. The 27" tube gets me the few fps extra. With the 8208, I've got an ES of 6 and SD of 2.Its kind of 6 GT vs 6 Dasher in the NRL/PRS/ABC world these days. People say its easy to load for. For action, I think the Bighorn TL3 looks good, although once again, I don't have the experience shooting them. It just makes more sense to me on paper. Easy barrel/caliber swaps. Great reputation.

Aug 27, 2023 · Purchased direct from Alpha Munitions, 6GT brass is now $1.30 per case, which is comparable with Lapua 6mm Creedmoor brass, currently $120.99/100 at Grafs.com. The major difference between 6.5×47 Lapua-formed brass and Alpha 6GT brass is the case capacity. Alpha 6GT brass has 1.5 to 1.7 grains more case capacity. For example, there is no 6GT brass in the country, so I had to form my initial 200 cases from 6.5x47 brass. But in my experience with the GT is that it doesnt feed as well as I had hoped. I am using MDT AICS magazines which are apparently not great with the GT, and other brands may solve the problem.The 6.5 Creedmoor’s 147-grain ELD Match load velocity spec is 2,695 feet per second (fps).
