Yes, but the one thing that is annoying is you can't enter the cities anymore as a soldier. I think in versions prior to 1.7 you could but I bought the game first when 1.7 was out. I never am able to enter the city. In warband you could enter the stationed city like you could as normal non army person but when you left you went back to the army.
