The infamous cracked piston. 6 weeks ago as I was on the freeway I noticed my car felt like it was having a hard time keeping power and as I was in a drive thru the stabilitrak service light came on. Car was idiling extremely rough and kind of jerking. 2 days later I took it to pepboys and otw the check engine light came on.

This may call for a complete re-wiring of the car to go "old school". '13 LTZ. Procedure: Remove the three E10 bolts holding the heat shield over the turbo. Remove the E10 bolt holding the feed line onto the engine block. Loosen the T45 banjo/hollow bolt holding the feed line to the turbo, but do not remove entirely. Pull feed line from engine block. This took quite a bit of wiggling for me, but eventually popped out.

My rack and pinion was diagnosed and replaced. I’m still having issues in that power steering comes and goes.
Brake fluid has a life of 3-4 years. It attracts water, breaks down, the boiling point lowers (boiling brake fluid is not fun if you need to panic stop), and the brake pedal feel becomes more smushy. I changed it on my Cruze @ 4 years/40k and the brake/clutch feel was noticeably better afterwards. 2016 Cruze Premier RS.
