Flamethrower scrapper is best for mid-range AoE. The number of hits is ridiculous, just wave it around or keep using the "next target" hotkey. For longer range I really enjoy staff necro/ reaper, and staff guardian for a bit more zerg support. My man you already have a top level AOE/cleave as thief in daredevil.
