It’s a shame the barrel isn’t threaded, but we’d guess that option is coming. The barrel on PMR's has never had an OD of 1/2 inch, that is why the 3/8X24 threads. (always been that thread) The pistol is designed so that the barrel and slide travel rearward for 5mm before separating, by this time the high pressure in the barrel subsides. The optional threaded barrel with flash reducer (PMR30-505) is an excellent upgrade. The flash is reduced, and it does a much better job of cycling 30gr Hornady V-max. Kel-Tec also has a new buffer (PMR30-153) that is superior to the original. I like the PMR.
