This is a megapost (in fact, three posts that function as one) that was written when the PS4 version of the game came out, to help the new players that got into the game. It covers some of the considerations that need to be taken before building a sucessful party, as well as a long section of efective or interesting compositions.

Torch x 5 — If you prefer always having an advantage in combat and have gold to spare, extra torches never hurt, so buy a few more. Food x 8 — This is the minimum amount of food to provision, where you won’t ever take hunger damage and may still have one or two food to spare for minor healing between combat.Mind you, once you get the gist of it, it's not insanely difficult, and RNG, while strong, isn't 90% of the game (as many people say), it's more down to 20% I'd say. And I'm just talking about the gameplay. The setting is great, the voice of the narrator is insanely good, the characters are fairly diverse.

Your guy has a chance of winning or losing money or a trinket in the gambling hall, but the rewards outweigh the risks because if you equip them with a crappy trinket that you don’t care about they’ll lose that one but they can win any trinket in the game, even the rare Ancestral trinkets that you could otherwise only get from the Shambler.

Crimson Court: Crimson Crourt- new area, infestation, curse and other more complicated stuff. After paches become way easyer than at beginning but still it makes game a little bit harder. If a character relies heavily om Bleed for example (Flag), then don't take them to Ruins, and maybe not Cove either. If a character relies on blight, they won't be able to blight well in Weals/Warrens. Of course there are many exceptions to this.
