It annoys me that it could have easily been worded as such to temporarily grant the effects of a +1 potency and +1 striking rune, and then given heightened levels for +2, +3, +4. Rather than having a spell that stops working at level 2-3 for most parties RAW, and at level 4-5 if allowed on +1 weapons. Epilos303.

Looking through the Worn Items list, the +2 Potency Rune falls on the lower end of the level 10 items, while the Greater Striking Rune is much, much cheaper than other level 12 items ...
