So i'm once again going back and re-examining my thus far one and only completed run of Stellaris, and one thing that bugged me was that I never picked an ascension path. I still won even without it, but I was playing on I think Captain and 0.75x Crisis. I wonder how much better it could have been if I had gone for an ascension path.
