But the comparison isn't between the g42 and the lcp max. I'd take the lcp max over the g42 any day. The comparison is between a first gen lcp and a lcp max. I'd take the first gen lcp any day. It fits the role it's intended to do better. Smaller and lighter is easier to carry. Don't need a lot of shots, don't need fancy sights.

I have no experience with either, but was watching a video on the LCP Max the other day and the main takeaway is the weight difference. The LCP Max is only 10 ounces. Ruger made the LCP II a little thicker, which gets it closer in size to the Glock 42. I can manage pocket carry with either. I can only manage pocket carry with my 43 in cargo pants or shorts. I'd carry any of these with a round in the chamber provided I have a proper holster. Reply.
