For me the best way to grind the fragment is to do a Corsus adventure on hard. Do the two closest boss and reroll after that. I think the world boss gives 4 fragment and other bosses gives 3. I managed to get 25 fragment in about an hour that way.I have completed base campaign and about to finish subject 2923 dlc. Grinding glowing fragments seems to be the endgame. So I wanted to know which way of farming is better? Harder difficulty campaign/adventure mode runs or survival mode runs? I tried survival mode couple of times.

Go to the armor piece it was the skin for. There should now be an options for editing skins. Yes, this does mean that skins only apply to the armor they're recolors of and you can't apply them to other armor to make them look different.
