Adding some more testing done, looks like if you straight up kill him the log states "unit dies" instead of "unit_destroyed" and [Fleshmarket_Kerz]:IsPlaying is changed to [KerzDead]:IsPlaying. So it probably means that Kerz should still be around after the fight if you don't kill him. But I still can't find him.
