9 comments. Spear is 2 tiers higher and makes bleed last longer. That's just more dps than scythe. Scythe only has as benifit longer range. Reason the spear is used as switch; is because of optimal perks. People put lunging perk on the spear, and switch away to other t92 weapon for another perk, to have the best of both worlds.
