As far as recoil is concerned the X-Macro will recoil less because of the better purchase and leverage provided by the bigger grip which has greater length and circumference. I have shot a buddys Macro quite a bit over the last couple weekends, just another great P365! 17th round still sucks to load.

It is an excellent choice, imo. It shoots great and easy to carry. You can also switch the grip module to an XL to conceal easier for a dual gun. IMO, it is more important to be able to shoot a gun vs carrying size. The X-Macro shoots like a bigger gun, but is smaller vs compacts, and larger than a micro.
